About Rajpruek

Undoubtedly Thailand's greatest and most exclusive private member club, providing modern facilities and services for its members. Rajpruek Club offers first-class social and sporting facilities within an elegant and congenial ambience.

History

The Rajpruek Club was formed by a group of leading personalities in the public and private sectors of Thailand, who believed that there was a great need for a new sports club in the Bangkok Metropolis. The club should not only accommodate members with modern sports facilities of international standards, but also provide its members with an easily accessible, open, green oasis away from unsightly views of shop houses and high-rise buildings.

Comprising both Thais and foreigners, the group conceptualized the Club as a private institution, where members could engage in recreational or competitive sporting activities, or just meet each other socially.

They believed that in order for the Club to grow into a leading private sports club, it needed an appropriate constitution and bye-laws, so that the rights of all members, to utilize the facilities of the Club would be fully protected.

The idea of Private Sport Clubs is not new to Thailand. The first private sports club in Thailand, The Royal Bangkok Sports Club, saw its light in 1903. The aim was to establish a members-only recreational setting for Thais as well as members of the foreign community. With an extraordinary level of service and range of offers to members, the idea quickly became successful. With this in mind, Rajpruek Club was formed in a spacious and easy to reach area in downtown Bangkok. Unseen level of service, 5-star facilities and location are some of the keywords to the success we experience at Rajpruek Club.

The new sport club, named after the “Cassia fistula linn” tree which Thais believe to be auspicious, was to be known as the Rajpruek Club.

Situated over 355 rai of land on Vibhavadee Rangsit Road in the North Park Real Estate Company’s
“City in the Park” project, the Rajpruek Club consists of an international standard 18 hole golf course, a sports complex with comprehensive facilities for both indoor and outdoor sports, and a full range of recreational facilities, as well as club house for golfers and sports members.

The overall operation of the Club is being carried out by the North Park Real Estate CO. Ltd, which shares the same vision as the founders of the Rajpruek Club. It’s “City in the Park” project has a similar concept in that; it aims to develop a business city in a green area complete with sporting facilities for the community.

The founders of Rajpruek Club are in accordance with, that the membership, constitution and bye-laws governing the administration and the utilization of the club should be patterned in line with those in use at the RBSC. Appropriate modifications are being made to suit the Rajpruek Club’s own characteristics.

The administration of the Club will be supervised by a Board of Governors consisting of leading personalities from various circles. The proposed functions of the Board of Governors are to stipulate the rules and regulations for the utilization of the club. They will also consider membership applications which will require endorsements from members of the Board; to set polices, and to oversee the general administration of the Club.
